Summer Internship Program
At the beginning of May, we opened another edition of our Summer Internship Program. In this fourth edition of our paid internship program, for young university students and new graduates, we promise a different professional experience to anyone interested in travelling around the world of the circular economy. — By Margarida Amorim
As in previous editions, we have the support of the University of Coimbra, our Alma Mater and where 80% of the employees of our company completed their studies. The most prestigious University in the country assumes an important collaborative role in this process, not only in the sourcing of candidates but also in the pedagogical monitoring of the initiative.
This year, in addition to the Book in Loop project, which is an e-commerce platform for the purchase and sale of reused school books, our interns will have the opportunity to join the Babyloop team, which is an e-commerce platform for buying and selling childcare products loved by many Portuguese moms and dads.
By joining our internship program, young university students will have the opportunity to choose the areas in which they want to deepen their skills. They will be able to choose among costume care, management and human resources, finance, logistics, communication and marketing, design, or even the area of analytics and programming.
The big news of this year’s Summer Internship Program is the expansion of the Book in Loop project to Spain, challenging many young people to develop skills in an international project. The internationalization of Book in Loop to the neighbouring country opens the doors for young Portuguese people and students enrolled in mobility programs that speak Spanish, to test their language skills.
Applications for the Summer Internship Program are open until May 31. There will then be a test phase, to evaluate the logic and foreign language knowledge. Successful candidates will be invited to participate in our assessment day and go on to the final interview, concluding the selection process.
The internships will start on the 1st of July at the offices of The Loop co., in Praça do Comércio, Coimbra and will have a maximum length of three months. The company will ensure that all the conditions of hygiene and safety are met so that the interns can undertake their work in a safe environment.
Immersed as part of a young and dynamic team, interns can count on a challenging and memorable summer in the old-fashioned downtown part of our city!
